Most of the doctors and hospitals we speak to have similar questions before they decide to work with us. We’ve answered the ones that come up most often below. If something isn’t covered here, the contact page is the quickest way to reach us.
About Soul Stories Media
We build and manage digital presence for healthcare professionals and institutions specialist doctors, clinics, and hospitals. That includes websites, search engine optimisation, content writing, social media, Google Business Profile management, branding, performance marketing, and video production.
Everything we do is specific to healthcare. We don’t work across industries, and we don’t adapt general marketing frameworks to fit a medical context. Healthcare communication is the only thing we do, which means the work is shaped by it from the start.
Because healthcare communication is genuinely different from marketing in other industries, and treating it as though it isn’t creates problems. Patients aren’t consumers. The decisions they’re making carry real weight. The information they’re relying on needs to be accurate. The professionals they’re choosing need to be represented credibly, not promotionally.
Working exclusively in healthcare means we understand those constraints the regulatory environment, the way patients search, what builds trust with a medical audience, what doesn’t. That understanding isn’t something you can pick up quickly by rotating between industries.
Our clients are specialist doctors at senior levels consultants and super-specialists across fields like urology, neurology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, ENT, spine surgery, and others. We also work with specialty clinics and multi-specialty hospitals that need to manage their digital presence across departments.
Most of our clients are based in Chennai, though the nature of digital work means geography isn’t always a constraint.
Our Services
You can start with one. A lot of clients begin with a specific need a website build, an SEO audit, or social media management and expand from there once they’ve seen how it works. We don’t require a minimum package or push services that aren’t relevant to where a client is right now.
That said, we’re usually honest early on if we think a specific combination of services would serve a client better than a single one in isolation. A website without SEO, for instance, is harder to justify as an investment than a website built with search in mind from the start.
The fundamentals overlap page structure, keyword strategy, technical performance but the context is very different. Patients search differently from consumers. They’re often starting with symptoms rather than services, which means the content strategy has to account for where they are in their journey, not just what a clinic wants to say about itself.
Google also applies a higher standard to health content. Medical information falls under what Google classifies as YMYL Your Money or Your Life content, which means it’s evaluated more carefully for credibility and accuracy. A doctor’s credentials, institutional affiliations, and clinical authority are SEO signals in healthcare in a way they simply aren’t in other industries.
We do, and we’ve built the process around the reality that most senior clinicians don’t have large windows of time. We handle scripting in advance so the filming session itself runs efficiently a single session typically produces multiple pieces of content that are then edited into different formats for different platforms.
Most doctors aren’t particularly comfortable on camera when we first work with them. That’s fine. The scripting is done to match the way they naturally explain things to patients, which makes the filming feel less like a performance. It usually takes one or two sessions before it feels natural.
Working With Us
It starts with a conversation. We ask about your current digital presence, what you’re trying to achieve, and what’s been tried before. From that, we put together a scope of work that reflects what actually makes sense for your situation not a standard package applied regardless of context.
We don’t start work without a clear brief, and we don’t ask clients to commit to long engagements before they have a sense of how we work. The first project usually tells both sides what they need to know.
Less than most doctors expect, but some. The parts that genuinely require your input clinical review of content, approval of website copy, a filming session for video we schedule in concentrated blocks so it doesn’t become a constant drain on your time. Between those touchpoints, the work moves without needing you in the loop for every step.
What we do need from every doctor we work with is a willingness to review drafts and give clear feedback. The content goes out under your name, and it needs your sign-off. That’s non-negotiable, and it also protects you.
It depends on what we’re building. A website launch has a clear delivery point. Social media presence takes a few months before it builds any meaningful consistency. SEO is the slowest you typically start seeing movement within three to six months, with stronger results building over a year or more.
We’re straightforward about this from the beginning because unrealistic expectations about timelines cause more problems than honest ones. Anyone who promises fast SEO results is either talking about paid advertising or telling you what you want to hear.
Both. Building from scratch is actually sometimes easier there’s no outdated content to unpick, no mismatched information across platforms to correct, no design that patients have already formed opinions about. We’ve worked with senior specialists who had nothing online beyond a hospital listing and built a complete digital presence from the ground up.
Improving an existing presence has its own challenges and its own advantages. There’s usually existing authority to build on, even if the structure isn’t right. We assess what’s there before recommending what to keep, what to fix, and what to replace.
