Video Production

Video has become the format patients trust most when they’re trying to understand something medical. A written description of a procedure can only do so much. Seeing a doctor explain it clearly in their own words, at their own pace does something different. It answers questions the patient didn’t know how to ask, and it gives them a sense of the person before they’ve ever met them.

For healthcare professionals, that’s not a small thing. A two-minute video of a neurologist explaining what to expect from an MRI, or a spine surgeon walking through the difference between two surgical approaches, can reduce patient anxiety, improve consultation quality, and build the kind of familiarity that used to only come from word of mouth. Patients who’ve already watched a doctor explain something arrive at the appointment differently.

We produce short-form video content for specialist doctors and healthcare institutions scripted reels, patient education videos, clinic walkthroughs, doctor profile videos, and social content designed for LinkedIn and Instagram. The production is planned around each doctor’s schedule and comfort level, and the scripting is done to match their natural way of speaking, not to make them perform.

Comfort helps, but it’s not a prerequisite. Most of the doctors we work with aren’t natural presenters when we start they’re clinicians, not broadcasters. Good scripting, a relaxed setup, and a few practice takes make a significant difference. The goal is for the doctor to sound like themselves explaining something to a patient, not like they’re delivering a speech. That’s achievable for most people.
Short-form educational content performs consistently well videos that explain a condition, answer a common patient question, or walk through what a procedure involves. Doctor profile videos that give patients a sense of who they’re going to meet before the appointment also work well. What tends not to work is corporate-looking promotional content that prioritises production value over genuine communication.
A standard batch of short-form videos scripting, a filming session, editing, and final delivery typically takes two to three weeks. We batch content where possible so a single filming session produces multiple pieces of content, rather than requiring the doctor’s time repeatedly. The scripting is done before filming so the session itself runs efficiently.
That’s built into how we produce it. A filming session might produce a two-minute patient education video for the website, three shorter cuts for Instagram reels, and a LinkedIn version with captions optimised for silent viewing. The core footage is the same the edits and formats are adapted for where each piece will live. It’s a much better return on the time the doctor puts into a filming session.
